Musical Mission Trip
We are awaiting the final schedule from our travel agency. Everyone who is making this pilgrimage must have a valid passport and everyone will have to obtain a visa for Russia. The details for visas will be forthcoming.
Concerts are planned in Norway, Sweden, Finland and St. Petersburg. Through our concerts we will raise funds for the Lutheran seminary in St. Petersburg, Russia.
We are also raising funds to underwrite the costs of the trip as well as to support the important work of the seminary between now and next June. Grant proposals have been submitted to various corporations and foundations seeking support. Concerts, dinners, and a raffle is also be envisioned.
A committee is being created to oversee these fund raising activities. Anyone interested in working on the committee is most welcome to serve. Just give Viktor Andersson a call or email (817-284-8724 ext. 33, viktor@calvaryftw.org).
A concert is planned at the Brunskog Kirka in Sweden. This is the church which witnessed Viktor’s father and grandfather’s baptism and confirmation. Another concert is planned just across the border at the family church of choir member Roland Bronstad (the Vang Church).
