Stephen Ministry is a lay ministry of our congregation in which trained members provide one-on-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and community. There are times when each of us needs a caring friend - a Stephen Minister - who is trained give distinctively Christian care through the development of confidential, non-judgmental relationship.

If life seems to be more than you can handle - if you are experiencing difficulties with your health, attitude, or relationships - if you are adjusting to a change in marital status, a serious illness, the death of a loved one, a recent move, a new job - if you need to have someone who really cares and listens, then you can probably benefit from having a Stephen Minister. A Stephen Minister will usually meet with you on a weekly basis for as long as your need persists.

If you would like to explore having a Stephen Minister, contact one of the Stephen Leaders - Doug Guinn, Bob Pedersen, Lin Straus, or Pastor Eric - or any of our Stephen Ministers ( they usually wear their blue name badge on Sundays).

If you think that you might want to become a Stephen Minister - that God is calling you to this - contact one of the Leaders. 50-hour training classes are held periodically.
